The square the city turns around
Every city has one place that stands for all of it. In Heraklion it is Eleftherias Square: the green ring of plane trees where the ring road, the museum, the port and the old town all meet. Regenerating a space like this is not decoration. It is groundwork in the most public place on the island, done while the city keeps moving around it.
For Lydakis the square is also personal. The company's own offices look onto it from number 29. This is the project outside the front door: the ground the team crosses every morning, renewed by the same hands.
